Probation & re-entry → supported housing: the referral workflow

For probation, parole, and re-entry coordinators when a plan is stalled on the single missing piece of housing. Mai Heaven is a supported-housing resource, not an emergency service.

For an immediate need, call or text 988 for a mental-health crisis, 911 for a medical emergency, or see the numbers for your state. This workflow is for referring someone into supported housing, not for tonight.

The workflow

  1. Tell us the situation
General need, timeline, and any supervision conditions that affect placement — without client identifiers in the form.
  2. We coordinate with the officer
We work with the supervising officer and re-entry coordinator, not around them.
  3. Send the referral
De-identified, no login, about a minute. Specifics come later through a secure channel.
  4. One business day to an answer
Yes, no, or what else we need.
  5. When a home opens, we coordinate move-in
A referral joins the list today; when a home opens we handle admission and onboarding with your team.
