Privacy

Your privacy, in plain terms.

Last updated 8 September 2026

Mai Heaven is an early-stage housing proposal. This website exists to explain the idea and to let the people who can help it happen reach us. It is deliberately simple, and so is how we handle your information.

What we collect

When you use a form on this site — to refer someone, join the waiting list, request a call, or ask a question — we receive what you enter: your name, email, and phone; your organisation and role if you are a professional; the U.S. state and the general type of need; a timeline or city/county/ZIP if you provide it; and any notes you choose to write. If you email us directly, we receive your name, email, and message.

We run no advertising or cross-site tracking, and our forms explicitly ask you not to send health, financial, or government-ID information — no client names, dates of birth, diagnoses, or chart notes. There is no self-service account sign-up on this site. If we later provision a secure portal account for you (a referral partner, family member, vendor, or staff member), signing in sets a strictly-necessary session cookie so the site remembers you are logged in — see our Cookies page.

How we use it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with anyone who is not directly helping move the project forward, and never for marketing.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Signed-in portal users get a strictly-necessary session cookie so the site remembers they are logged in (details on our Cookies page). For traffic and reliability we use Cloudflare's privacy-first, cookieless Web Analytics and Cloudflare's network protections; these record aggregate figures and do not identify you personally.

On health information and HIPAA. This website is not a healthcare provider and collects no protected health information, so HIPAA does not apply to it. If and when Mai Heaven operates housing and coordinates resident services, any health information involved will be handled under HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 where applicable, and the privacy laws of each state we work in - reviewed with counsel before any resident data is ever handled.

How long we keep it

We keep waiting-list and referral information only as long as needed to reach out as homes open in your state, and any account or coordination records only as long as needed for that purpose - or until you ask us to delete them. We do not keep data longer than we have a reason to.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information you have given us, to correct it, or to delete it, and we will. Residents of California, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone. Just email us.

Security

This site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and sits behind Cloudflare's network protections. Form submissions and any account records are stored in an access-controlled database; email you send us is stored in our access-controlled mailbox.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. As the project grows into an operating organization, this notice will be expanded and reviewed by an attorney.
